Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB)
The PCAOB oversees the audits of public companies and SEC-registered brokers and dealers in order to protect investors and further the public interest in the preparation of informative, accurate, and independent audit reports.
Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)

Established in 1973, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) is the independent, private-sector, not-for-profit organization based in Norwalk, Connecticut, that establishes financial accounting and reporting standards for public and private companies and not-for-profit organizations that follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

IFAC: International Federation of Accountants also issues international standards for Auditing and Assurance, Accounting Education, Ethics standards for accountants, and Public Sector accounting.
