Mendeley is a free application that helps you manage your research. Also known as a reference or citation manager, it has built-in tools to help you:

- Collaborate with others by sharing references and ideas
- Backs up your research library and syncs to the web

Mendeley Cite allows you to cite while you write in a Word document, creating correctly formatted in-text citations and bibliography as you're typing. Mendeley's Web Importer allows you to save articles as PDFs in your Mendeley library directly through your browser with a click of a button.
